OFR Awards 2026 Highlights Retail Excellence as Philippine Industry Embraces Innovation

Visayan Herald | OFR Awards 2026 Highlights Retail Excellence as Philippine Industry Embraces Innovation | OFR Awards 2026 recognizes outstanding Philippine retailers leading innovation, digital transformation, sustainability, and customer experience.

MANILA, Philippines — Innovation, resilience, and customer-focused leadership defined this year’s Outstanding Filipino Retailers (OFR) Awards 2026, as the Philippine Retailers Association (PRA) recognized businesses that are helping transform the country’s retail landscape.

Presented after the conclusion of the 32nd National Retail Conference and Expo (NRCE) 2026, the awards showcased how retailers are responding to rapidly changing consumer behavior through digital transformation, omnichannel retailing, sustainability initiatives, and operational excellence.

Since 1997, the OFR Awards has honored organizations that set the benchmark for Philippine retail. This year’s program continued that tradition by recognizing businesses that combine commercial success with innovation, responsible leadership, and long-term industry impact.

The highest distinction of the evening, Retailer of the Year, was awarded to Golden ABC, which also received the Retail Employer Award for fostering an innovative workplace culture while building globally recognized Filipino retail brands.

Retail innovation was likewise celebrated through PENSHOPPE, winner of the Excellence in Retailing Award for Omnichannel, while Spatio received dual recognition for its distinctive retail concept and outstanding in-store experience.

Other awardees included MR. DIY Philippines, OXGN, Anthem Group, Megaworld Lifestyle Malls – Forbes Town and Uptown Bonifacio, and Rose Pharmacy, reflecting the diversity and strength of Philippine retail across multiple categories.

Special recognition was also given to retail leaders whose contributions have helped shape the industry. The late Vivian Que Azcona received the PRA Legacy Award, while Roberto Claudio and Ma. Alegria Limjoco were honored as recipients of the PRA President’s Award.

PRA noted that the awards continue to encourage retailers to invest in innovation, customer experience, sustainability, people development, and responsible business practices—qualities increasingly essential in today’s competitive retail environment.

With the continued success of both NRCE and the OFR Awards, the association reaffirmed its commitment to helping Filipino retailers achieve greater competitiveness both locally and internationally.
